Being a variety of cabbage, in the early juvenile stages the plant is the same as that of cabbages. Later, during growth, the plant develops a central stem that can reach a meter in height and sprouts develop around the stem.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Brussels sprouts lend themselves to various quick and easy preparations. To make them more digestible they should always be blanched in salted water for a few minutes<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sprouts contain a good amount of minerals, proteins, fibers and vitamins. They are real stimulants of brain activity and concentration.
